John Taylor - Head Chef, The Front Line Restaurant

The Frontline Restaurant has a fascinating history, The Frontline Club was set up by the surviving members of the original team of maverick cameramen, and dedicated to the memory of friends and colleagues who lost their lives gathering news and images from the world's conflict zones.

It's walls decorated with fascinating images of war and the struggle for freedom around the world.

One poignant image instantly recognisable on the wall was the demonstration in Tiananmen Square where one lone student stood in front of a tank to single handedly challenge the Chinese Government.

Now owned by the well known Chef and author Richard Corrigan it is a popular and well-respected restaurant in the city of London.

John Taylor the current Head Chef is an absolute pleasure to spend time with. A warm, friendly and very sincere character, John believes in creating the very best dishes from only the finest ingredients. So much so, that they rear their own lamb, keep their own fresh supply of eggs and have their own organic herb garden.

John and Richard certainly do their bit for the environment by taking the used cooking oil and turning it into bio diesel fuel.

This together with the use of Humitech biosmart filters protecting their fridges from excess humidity and bacteria, and lowering the energy consumption of their fridges must surely put them in the running for one of the greenest restaurants in London. It's really fantastic to see people that are not just talking green but are leading the green revolution by example.
